Spam is the electronic world's biggest problem. A fool proof method of
filtering out spam does not yet exist, but we don't have to sit back and take
it. Anti-Spam pages like this one make spamming less profitable and is our way to
help FIGHT SPAM.
A: First: Get yourself a free throw-away email address, such as Hushmail. I recommend using some mix of characters and numbers to prevent this email address from being dictionary attacked, like gj85tm659@example.com. This address will be used for one thing, and one thing only . . . to sign up for a free spam reporting account at SpamCop. Never use it for anything else, ever. SpamCop protects your email address when sending reports. Report recipients will be able to reply to your reports, but they will do so through SpamCop. They will never know your email address unless/until you reveal it. Such replies from recipients of your reports will be delivered to the email address you provide. The advantage of using a free throw-away email address to report spam is pretty obvious . . . the recipient of the report does not know your real email address unless you reveal it.
Second: Signup for a SpamCop free spam reporting account at spamcop.net/anonsignup.shtml . Use the throw-away email address you just created. All replies from the spam you report will arrive at this email address.
Third: Start reporting spam. It's very important to provide both HEADERS and the BODY of the email when reporting. The headers will reveal WHERE the email actually came from and the BODY of the email (often in html) will reveal where any web sites are located, which get a spam report also. It's very important to SHUT DOWN the spammers method of making money. With no web site, there's no reason to spam.
Reporting spam to spamcop, works great if you use the forward as attachment feature in your email account.

Note: You will need to complete and repeat each step 1-4 for each spam email you send to spamcop.
If the spam you receive asks for money through the U.S. Mail, the
United States Postal Inspection Service, forward a copy at fraud@usps.gov.

The purpose of this page is to make it so spammers who attempt to collect
email addresses off the web, via programs, will not have real email addresses
in their database. Anti-Spam causes problems because they will have to clean out
their list. It also makes their database worthless for reselling purposes because
the company purchasing their spam database will have worthless email address.
How ANTI-SPAM works:
This page has one hundred randomly generated
email addresses (refresh and new ones will appear). At the bottom of the
page is a link to this page again, essentially reloading it for programs to
collect more fake email addresses. Email collecting programs (spam bots)
will be sent into an infinite loop by following the link at the bottom of the page
and will get more and more fake email addresses stuck in their databases.
Other ways to prevant Spam in your email Indox,
1: Disable Html emails & images, select option only to display text based emails.
2: Log on into your email, using safe mode, only if available by your email provider.
3: Do Not reply to spam email, even if they have an unsubscribe link option, when unsubscribing, you are telling the spam email that your eamil addresss is valid and the spam emails knows then to keep sending you more spam. Only unsubscribe to email that u have signed up to recieve, and that you trust the company.
4: Report Spam emails to their isp's, Use SpamCop for reporting the spam emails, "As outlined below" when reporting spam emails make sure u have enable all email headers in the emails u send.
5: Another solution is that the Goverment wants you to send them the spam emails that you get.
they are making a huge database of spam emails, and going after the most bad spam people and making they pay big fines, so send your spam emails to the goverment at uce@ftc.gov

How do I safely report spam using SpamCop?
First login into your hushmail account, there u will be given the username and password to use for spamcop.
Step 1- then login with the username and password for your spamcop account at Spamcop Login webpage
Step 2- then you will be given an special SpamCop email address for which you will forward the spam emails to spamcop for processing, Note: Use "forward as attachment" when send the spam email to spamcop. & enable all headers and body
Step 3- then just press the Report Now button in the spamcop acoount webpage when u login to it.
Step 4- then press the "Send Spam Report's Now" button
To report e-mails promoting medical products such as human drugs,
animal drugs, medical devices, biological products, foods, dietary
supplements or cosmetics, that you think might be illegal, forward the
email to the Food and Drug Administration at webcomplaints@ora.fda.gov.
Suspected fraudulent nonprescription drug spam can be forwarded to
the Food and Drug Administration at otcfraud@cder.fda.gov.
If spam you receive touts a stock opportunity forward it to enforcement@sec.gov.
Nigerian "419" scams can be forwarded to 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov
